Hi, my name is Lindsey and I am a personal trainer and nutrition advisor in South Liverpool. I have always had a special interest in physical activity, nutrition and the great outdoors recognising how each of these can significantly improve health, fitness and emotional well-being.
I am a happily married mum of two young girls who adores cooking and eating real, wholesome food. I love to travel, go camping, relaxation, spending time with family and friends and being generally active. I love all forms of exercise from pilates to hiking, running to circuits, swimming to yoga and even lifting weights (don’t judge, training with weights is amazing and won’t make you look like Arnold Schwarzenegger – I promise!). However a true passion of mine is food. I genuinely love to cook healthy meals and filling my body with nutritious goodness without going hungry. Don’t get me wrong, I also love a pack of kettle chips and a glass of red wine but it’s all about balance and making good choices for majority of time. I can teach you how to stay full, reduce cravings and still enjoy the little treats.
Being a mum myself I understand that exercise and your own needs are often at the bottom of the priority list, but I passionately believe that we should all make time to keep ourselves fit and healthy and I would love to help you with this.
Before changing career to become a personal trainer and nutritional advisor, I worked as an occupational therapist for over 10 years in a variety of different clinical settings. Occupational therapy is a health, wellness, and rehabilitation profession dedicated to maximising performance and function across the lifespan, thus enhancing independence and quality of life. The holistic approach taken by occupational therapy practitioners recognises the importance of a positive state of health in the whole person. This is particularly useful in the areas of wellness, health promotion, and prevention and will form the centre of my personal training approach.
